FBI raids LI homes in hacking probe
The FBI has raided several New York homes during a probe into the hacker group Anonymous. FBI spokesman Jim Margolin says agents searched residences and seized computers at one address in Brooklyn and three on Long Island. He declined further comment. WikiLeaks donation channel blocked again
NEW YORK/WASHINGTON: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has lost a financial lifeline. Since December bans by the world’s major credit card networks, it has been difficult for supporters of the controversial whistleblower to send him donations.

But just three years after a major court confrontation that saw many of America’s most important journalism organizations file briefs on WikiLeaks’ behalf, much of the US journalistic community has shunned Assange — even as reporters write scores, if not hundreds, of stories based on WikiLeaks’ trove of leaked State Department cables.
